Marketing Assistant

Arcadia Products plc are currently looking to recruit a Marketing Assistant, to work at our offices in Salfords (near Redhill in Surrey). The ideal candidate will possess proven organisational ability, excellent written and oral communication skills and a marketing or business related degree. Previous marketing experience is preferred but not essential, along with past experience of working in a modern office environment. As a specialist pet-care lighting company, an interest in freshwater or marine aquariums, reptiles or birds would be advantageous.

Responsibilities will include:

•  Production of copy for company newsletters, our blog, catalogues etc

•  Co-ordination of advertising, PR and e-marketing activities
•  Working with our graphic designer on the production of POS materials and advertising
•  Product management of our lamp lead business, including targeted mailshots, search, dealing with resulting customer enquiries and formulation of competitive strategy (approximately 20% of  the role)
•  Assisting with preparation of internal and retailer training presentations

Office hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm with an hour for lunch, and the position is eligible for 25 days paid leave per annum in addition to all UK public holidays. Salary will be up to £23,000 P.A. depending on experience.
